Campervan Hire UK

Most people looking for campervan hire in the UK tend to live in Great Britain, but we are seeing an increasing amount of overseas visitors especially from Australia, New Zealand and the United States. As well as having four depots and more than seven hundred pick-up points across the UK, airport transfers are available too, which makes our service appealing to overseas visitors as well as people who live here already. Don’t forget that our price match promise means that if book your campervan and then find somebody else offering cheap campervan hire that costs less than you paid, we will refund the difference!

The main headquarters is at Bourn near Cambridge. This is where the main office of the company is. It is less than an hours drive from the M25 motorway and is handy for anywhere in the heart of England.

The Scotland depot is located at Kelty, which is near Edinburgh. Edinburgh International Airport is a popular arrival point for visitors from overseas.

The Heathrow depot is superbly located to serve the busiest airport in the UK. It’s just 3 minutes drive from Heathrow Terminal 1 and a short walk to West Drayton train station. This depot is therefore perfect for overseas travellers as well as London based hirers.

The Bristol depot is ideal for those in the South West of England. It is just 3 minutes from Junction 18 of the M4 motorway. Bristol is handy for The Cotswolds and Wales as well as those wishing to take campervans down to Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.

So you can see that with these four main depots we pretty much have the UK covered, but don’t forget the additional seven hundred pick-up points where you can also collect your campervan and, if required, leave your own car in complete safety.

Choosing The Ideal Camper For Motorhome Hire

Choosing the ideal motorhome for your holiday is made simple here, it’s either small, medium or large. Andrew and Vanessa introduce the range:

Vanessa: Hi there and welcome along to Motorholme HQ. We’re at location on our open day and what better place to talk about choosing a motorhome for hire because Andrew there’s such a wide range of motorhomes to choose from that it can actually be quite daunting, but you’ve simplified the process haven’t you?

Andrew: Oh absolutely. Our philosophy from day one has been to keep things simple and that’s why we only have three models in our lineup, which is small, medium, and large. What we’ll look at today is our new range of 2012 models from Chausson, which cover those three.

Vanessa: You have specifically chosen motorhomes that are ideal for rental because they’re hardwearing, robust, and they’ve got the right layouts and so on. We’re going to have a look at those aren’t we?

Andrew: That’s right Vanessa. We’re going to look at the small, the medium, and the large, and just see what differences are and how they fit with hirer’s requirements.

Vanessa: Okay so coming up next you’ll see three individual videos and we’ll be looking at the small, medium, and large options.

The Chausson 02 Motorhome

Here is one of 3 videos about choosing the correct motorhome to hire for your needs:

Vanessa: You’re watching Motorholme TV and right now we’re going to look at the small option, the Flash 02, and Andrew who would this motorhome suit?

Andrew: Well it’s ideal for couples, but also with the crafty single bed you can actually get away with a small family so an infant or a baby, and still have plenty of space for everybody inside.

Vanessa: So ideal for weekends away?

Andrew: Absolutely. It’s a full height vehicle on the inside, but it’s compact on the outside so you can literally park and drive this vehicle anywhere. You could park it in say a Tesco car park and also on the inside the two front seats revolve, which gives you a good size living accommodation for up to four adults.

Vanessa: So a bit like a Tardis inside?

Andrew: Yes you would not be short of space in there. It’s a very simple vehicle to operate although we do provide a handover DVD for all our models. This one in particular has very few quirks about it so it’s literally get in and go and enjoy yourself without worrying too much about how it all works.

Vanessa: What do you particularly like about this particular model?

Andrew: Well we like the fact that it’s got a fixed rear double bed and that means you don’t have to make up the bed in order to go to sleep at night, and you can leave your dinette intact with all of your things on it. Obviously with all our models you have air conditioning, cruise control, six speed gear box, they’re all fitted with a bike rack on the back, and also for entertainment you’ve got a DVD player, a flat screen TV, and also an iPod connection for your sounds as well. All in all a really nice little van to go away for say a weekend or a week just for a couple or with a small family. I particularly like the fact that it’s got a full sized fridge in it, it’s got a gas hob, and also the heating system is powered from the diesel. If you go abroad to say Europe you haven’t got to worry about filling up the gas because all of your heating is taken care of through the diesel system that’s already built in.
