2011 Family Holiday Ideas

2011 Family Holiday Ideas

2011 Family Holiday IdeasThinking about 2011 family holiday ideas? How about hiring a motorhome for your holiday?  The UK is blessed with incredible natural beauty and travellers come from all over the world to experience what England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland have to offer. If you are flying to the UK and plan on hiring a motorhome for the first time, or indeed if you are a seasoned motorhome holidaymaker but are short of ideas on where to drive, here are some ideas about 2011 family holiday ideas.

  1. A great holiday destination  for a family is Rheilffordd Ffestinog Railway in Porthmadog, Gwynedd. This railway is a great way for you and your family to take a trip around the countryside taking in all Welsh scenery. The narrow gauge steam railway is suitable for all ages and it will be a great opportunity to see the many facets of the UK.
  2. For a great family experience in the UK try the Jorvik Viking Centre in North Yorkshire in city of York. The Jorvik Viking Centre will teach you and your children about the reconstruction of Viking settlements. Using the newest technology and features they examine the sights, sounds, and interaction inside a Viking settlement during the 10th century.
  3. Chester Zoo  is the largest and one of the most decorated attractions in the UK. With over 7000 animals and 400 different species from around the planet it makes a great holiday destination for the entire family. Chester zoo is one of the most profound family destinations because it provides so many different attractions that sets itself apart from other desirable destinations.
  4. Another great UK holiday destination for families is the Camelot Theme Park located in Lancashire which provides an interactive rendition of the legend of King Arthur and his kingdom. It is fun for all ages even parents will enjoy the many activities that you find at the Camelot Theme Park. Activities range from wizardry, knights jousting, rides and a farm full of animals. Children will have no problem having a memorable time.
  5. The Justice Museum in Nottingham is the only destination of its kind. It was created to preserve the site of Nottingham’s old courthouse and also maintains a collection of artifacts that expand over the last 3 centuries. The artifacts are very bloodcurdling pieces that relate to Nottingham’s crime and punishment throughout history. The gallery was founded in 1993 and it is a great alternative for the family to learn together and simultaneously have a fun exciting experience. It is a unique experience for children of all ages and can open your eyes to the differences and similarities of society back then and now.

These are some of the most popular UK destinations that will entertain you and your family. They all provide the entertainment for adults and most importantly for the children. All 5 of these destinations will help teach you and your children about UK history and culture. When planning a family holiday it is important to find something the entire family will enjoy.

So what do you do next? Why not pick up the phone and call 0800 612 8719 and talk to us about hiring a motorhome to realize your 2011 family holiday ideas?

Motorhome Ski Holiday

Motorhome Ski Holiday

Motorhome Ski Holiday

Yes indeed it is that time of year again, skiing, snowboarding or whatever takes your fancy. A motorhome ski holiday is pretty good idea if you want to ‘chase the snow’.  Each resort is different, some like high altitude snow sure skiing like Tignes and some like gorgeous tree lined runs like Serre Chevalier.

It is worth looking at different pass options, for example the new (ish) HoliSki Pass gives you access to six quite different areas in France, with an excellent discount in each:

  1. Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry
  2. La Plagne
  3. Paradiski : Accessible from Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne
  4. Espace Killy : Tignes, Val d’Isère
  5. Serre Chevalier and
  6. Le Grand Massif : Flaine, Samoëns, Morillon, Les Carroz, Sixt Fer à Cheval

Nearly all resorts in Europe have space for motorhome parking, some official and some not and there are many private operator campsites near ski stations that are open in the Winter and the fees may sometimes include a discount on the lift pass price. Many Austrian campsites are near ski resorts.

The public ones do tend to be tucked away at the bottom of the resort as they want to keep the carparks in the center available for visitors. Not many of them have full facilities for water and waste disposal (for that you’ll have to go down to warmer areas for the ‘aires’ etc.

Though you may find a coin or card operated power outlet, but these are usually fairly low current supplies. Lots of resorts have public showers and lockers at the ski station (tourist offices and official websites can give you that info) but the German and Austrian resorts are very well served with toilet and shower blocks.

We can supply a fully winterized motorhome for your motorhome ski holiday, so you can be sure you will always be able to get yourself clean, warm and dry. The best thing to do us to call us on 0800 612 8719 and tell us that you are planning a motorhome ski holiday, that way we can find a suitable motorhome equipped for sub zero temperatures ad with plenty of room for your ski gear.

Motorhome Hire 2011

Motorhome Hire 2011

Motorhome Hire 2011

Each year this site grows more and more. Motorhome hire in 2011 is probably going to be our best year so far.  2010 was quite spectacular especially with the Glastonbury Festival 40th birthday, that was a sell out for the festival and us, with so many people looking for Glastonbury Festival campervan hire.  Even the eruption of Iceland’s Eyjafjallajökull volcano helped the rise of popularity of motorhome rentals, with so many people either not wanting to fly or just not being able to.  We saw a huge rise in popularity of campervan hire in Kent, England, with many people just wishing to pick up a campervan in Kent and head straight for Dover and get on a ferry to France or Belgium.  The harsh snowy winter in Europe is going to mean a lot of people just yearning to get away as soon as spring has sprung in 2011.

Motorhome hire in 2011 is going to be easier to book and arrange, now that Motoholme have more staff, expanded offices and a larger share of the market than ever before.  You can book online, but it is probably just as easy to pick up the phone and talk to someone about the type of motorhome that is going to be right for you.  If you are in the UK, you can call 0800 612 8719 for free at any time of the day or night.

Because of the popularity of festival campervan hire, the company is now offering campervan hire weekend deals where you can pick your motorhome on Friday and bring it back on Monday, perfect for festivals or just long weekends.  We are predicting that the concept of weekend campervan hire is going to become more popular in 2011.

So there you have it, if you are considering a break or holiday which involves motorhome hire in 2011 – just call and we’ll take it from there.  Be warned though, motorhomes are addictive – once you have driven, eaten and slept in a vehicle like this you start to bond with it!  Don’t worry though if you feel the urge to become an owner, we can tell you about easy ways to do that too…interested? make that call.

UK Holiday Ideas 2011

UK Holiday Ideas 2011

UK holiday ideas 2011

UK holiday ideas in 2011 are going to involve campervan hire, that’s for sure.  Many families are taking advantage of the (sometimes) rare UK sunny weather and holidaying in the United Kingdom. This is because there are lots of activities that could rival many typical package holidays to Greece or Spain. By choosing to holiday in the UK with a motorhome holiday you won’t be compromising on the fun.  There are many beach resorts dotted around the coastline of our island country with many well known seaside towns such as Blackpool, Bognor Regis and Skegness, Skegness can actually provide the traditional British seaside experience in safe European Blue flag awarded beach guaranteeing safe water and beach conditions for children.

Many other popular activities in these resort towns include mountain bike riding, which is great through the relatively flat British countryside or one of the many dense forests. Further inland there are many rocks and crags waiting to be climbed or abseiled down. Nature hikes to the top of the many hills and mountains in locations such as the Lake District can really give you some great views as well as coming face to face with much of the wildlife and sights the UK countryside has to offer.

Maybe we don’t always have the perfect weather here, but that shouldn’t effect your UK holiday ideas.  2011 is going to be the year that I’m going to take my family to Cornwall again, we had quite a wet and soggy holiday last July, so I’m confident it will be better in 2011.

The UK has a roaring tourist trade with many foreign tourists flocking to our country every year, as well as the many history-rich castles, ruins and museums there are plenty of new tourist attractions such as the many theme parks like Thorpe Park and Alton Towers hidden away in the English countryside.

It’s because of the roaring tourist trade that there are many options of where to camp throughout the country, there is nothing quite like a campervan holiday for the freedom it gives you.  If your UK holiday ideas in 2011 involve hiring a campervan call now on 0800 612 8719.

Central Scotland Motorhome Hire

Central Scotland Motorhome Hire

Central Scotland Motorhome Hire

I was looking though the statistics of this web site yesterday and noticed a lot of people looking for central Scotland motorhome hire.  My knowledge of Scotland isn’t brilliant, but I guess we are talking Glasgow, Stirling, Hamilton and Edinburgh.

Scotland is a very popular place for motorhome holidays, mainly because of the stunning scenery and the pure tranquillity. A natural side effect of this is easy to drive roads and very accessible countryside.

There are actually quite a few companies in Scotland that you can hire a motorhome from, but without mentioning any names, quite a few of them have just one or two motorhomes. Motorholme (with an L) have 17 pick up points in Scotland and many motorhomes, so one phone call can sort out all your campervan or motorhome rental wishes.

Central Scotland Motorhome Hire can be booked by calling 0800 612 8719.  We can supply these motorhomes for use in Scotland, or indeed campervan hire UK for European travel. Unlike most campervan hire UK companies, we have a network of campervan UK hire locations throughout Scotland, England and Wales, not just one central depot.

So if you are looking for a campervan (2 berth UK hire) or a larger 6 or 7 berth motorhome, we can get you one.  For central Scotland motorhome hire, just call 0800 612 8719, it’s a free call in the UK

Motorhome Rental

Motorhome Rental

The motorhome rental business has done fantastic in 2010 and 2011 looks to be another bumper year. The web site traffic on this site is up 37% on last year and people are getting busy now, booking their summer 2011 motorhome holidays.

One of the many beauties of motorhome travel is that you can stop when you like. However, it’s worth noting that some camping sites are only open during high season. Although a lot of campsites accommodate tents, caravans and motorhomes, some may insist on advance booking for larger vehicles that need big pitches. Availability may also depend on season.  But of course with a motorhome you also have the option to wild camp.

So why is this? Well quite frankly it just isn’t good value any more to book up a cheap package holiday to Spain or France anymore. Although it is much better than it was 2 years ago, the UK Pound is still weak and the Euro is strong so UK tour operators have had to raise their prices so they can pay their European bills and this increase has of course being passed onto customers.

The strong Euro is not affecting your motorhome rental holiday as the company is UK based. So if you want to go to France or Spain you can. If by the time the summer is here the pound is strong again – good for you! If not, consider touring the UK where your currency is good.

Consider this: If you are trying to plan your holiday now, then you may not be sure how your finances will be in the summer.  With a motorhome rental holiday this won’t really matter, you can customize your holiday according to your finances.

All in all motorhome holidays are going to make more sense in 2011 than ever before, and that is something we are happy about.

Family Holiday Ideas for 2011

Family Holiday Ideas for 2011

Family holiday ideas for 2011 could include renting a motorhome and heading off to Europe, here are some places you could go:

  1. France’s Atlantic Coast:  This region offers something for every taste, from the riches of its history to the unrivalled quality of its wines. Broad sandy beaches make it one of the preferred holiday destinations of the French themselves.
  2. Cycling in Provence: Most motorhomes have cycle racks on the back so you can easily take your bikes with you.  Provence in the south of France is a magical region, largely unspoiled and blessed with more than 300 days of sunshine a year. Its famous pink-gold Mediterranean light has attracted countless writers and artists over the centuries: Matisse and Dufy, Braque and Picasso have all left their mark here.  A motorhome/cycling holiday combines rural tranquility with beautiful landscapes dotted with sleepy hamlets seemingly unchanged over the centuries.  You can pedal gently along quiet lanes taking in ancient squares, olive groves, vineyards and spectacular villages perchés dating back to the Middle Ages. Best of all, you will enjoy the most wonderful panoramic views without having to climb too many hills.
  3. Walking in Northern Spain:  Spend a week in Asturias or Galicia and you will understand why Spain’s northern coastline is known as the Costa Verde – the Green Coast. Here, lush hills tumble down from the high mountains of the Picos de Europa to the rugged shores of Asturias, characterised by beaches of virgin sand, tranquil coves, prehistoric caves and grassy cliffs.  Further west is the fjord-like coastline of Galicia, dotted with timeless fishing villages and giving way to steep valleys where farmers tend small herds of cattle on foot and winegrowers harvest the famous albariño grapes by hand.
  4. Explore the UK: after the lovely places mentioned above this might sound a step backwards, but I can assure you that you would not be alone in considering the UK for family holiday ideas for 2011.

Whatever you do we would love you to consider hiring a motorhome as part of your family holiday ideas for 2011.

Campervan Hire Kent

Campervan Hire in Kent

Campervan hire in Kent is mostly used by people who either live in Kent or want to drive down to Kent to hire a motorhome.  Kent is of course the ideal county for getting across the channel to France or Belgium, so it’s a good base to start your European motorhome holiday.

In Kent we have many motorhomes, but here is a typical example, the Kentucky Camp Estro 5.  The Kentucky Camp Estro 5 represents true luxury in a 6 berth camper with everyone enjoying space and privacy. Equipped with a TV & DVD, cutlery, crockery, CD player, fully integrated kitchen, oven & grill, luxury washroom, hotel quality interiors and comfy beds throughout.

There aren’t any pets allowed in this motorhome, but there are plenty of other vehicles available for campervan hire in Kent that are, so just call us and we’ll sort out a ‘pet friendly’ motorhome.  Motorholme are the largest network of motorhomes for hire in the UK, so it’s not just campervan hire in Kent, but the whole of the UK – give us a call and we’ll get you sorted.

Arto motorhome

Arto motorhomeWhen it comes to people who own an Arto motorhome, you don’t get a more dedicated bunch.

Most, if not all, are delighted with their Arto motorhome, saying it is so quiet, drives like a car and despite being  put off initially with the one door, this doesn’t seem to be an issue.

Even the small Arto motorhome 59B (B for folding Bar version and no additional bed). IMHO it’s faultless: perfect layout, great build quality, superb drive and magnificent view from that huge windscreen.

Buy to Let Motorhomes

Buy to let motorhomesYesterday i.e. Easter Monday had the highest ever search for the phrase ‘motorhome hire’ – which is great news for people thinking of buying ‘buy to let motorhomes.  So I wonder why this was then? Well – there are quite a lot of folk going on about ’staycations’ which I really think is a crap term for not going anywhere!

The truth is, if you can’t afford to go on holiday then you can stay at home, but it is boring and your family will hate you and call you tight! So why not do a fairly low key staycation alternative and hire a motorhome and just not go too far.  You never know, you might get the bug and start thinking about buy to let motorhomes as a way of getting a free holiday and earning some cash at the same time.

I was watching Countryfile with John Craven the other week and it got me thinking about how lovely The Jurassic Coast in Dorset is. I remember having quite a memorable night illegally wild camping at Lulworth Cove (note: they really don’t like it!).

If you are interested in motorhome hire or the ‘buy to let motorhomes‘ scheme offered by Motorholme, then pick up the phone and call 0800 612 8719 now and talk to Sheena, Stephen and the crew – there is someone there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hymer motorhomes for sale

hymer motorhomes for saleWhen looking for Hymer motorhomes for sale the best advice is go “where you get the deal that you are happiest with”.

The easiest, and for most people the safest, option is the official British Hymer dealer, Hymer UK or one of their approved outlets. They are committed to keeping the Hymer marque at the forefront of the home market and they have a determination to try to keep residual values high – useful when it’s time to trade-in. Understandably the company is not normally happy if you got to rectify faults or assist customers who did not come to them for Hymer motorhomes for sale.

For those willing to go abroad to do a deal the prices for Hymer motorhomes for sale on mainland Europe are undoubtedly less than in Britain but any warranty claim or back up service may involve expensive travel back to the place of purchase.

Efoy Fuel Cell Generator

Efoy Fuel Cell GeneratorThe Efoy Fuel Cell generator is the “must have” accessory for any motorhome owner today. These things are amazing pieces of kit, but, are rather expensive – the price tag is £2995.

So if you want one, Andrew Hughes of Motorholme has decided to give one away. All you have to do is watch the video and answer 3 simple questions (the answers are in the video). This will enter you into the prize draw and you could be the lucky one.

The Efoy Fuel Cell Generator has an output of 1,600 Watts and is the convenient way to satisfy high-energy demand in your motorhome. This is the latest model with improved efficiency, which uses less fuel for the same output.

You can happily enjoy the freedom of quiet, reliable power anywhere, at any time of the day or season and whatever the weather – even if you are a high energy user.

It is worth noting that old fashioned noisy, smelly petrol and diesel generators are banned in the motorhome field of Glastonbury Festival, but these eco-friendly fuel cells are not. This means that you can have mains electricity for the whole time you are at the festival.

Having an Efoy 1600 fuel cell on board your motorhome means you’ll have your own clean electrical power source, whenever you want, wherever you go.

An Efoy fuel cell generator is economical and produces no harmful emissions. The only things that the fuel cell produces besides electricity are water and carbon dioxide in amounts no more than a child’s breath.

All the conveniences of home – even high energy appliances are no longer a problem. Watch the video and win one!

Motorhome Sales UK

motorhome sales ukIn this age of global warming and carbon footprints, many have decided they want to travel green, which can explain the rise in motorhome sales UK. But now we have seen other factors that have quite simply put people off flying.

April 2010 saw complete disruption to the air industry in Europe. A major crisis erupted out of the blue that cast a highly disturbing light on the peculiarly contorted way in which we are now governed. The Icelandic volcano shambles had striking parallels with the foot-and-mouth crisis of 2001.

What turned that shower of abrasive volcanic dust from a drama into a crisis was the central flaw in a new international system for responding to such incidents, which was put in place only last September. As everyone now recognises, the emptying of the skies which plunged Europe’s airlines into chaos was a grotesque overreaction to the reality of the risks involved. It left thousands of people stranded wishing that they thought about motorhome sales in the UK.

Within two days, the amount of ash over northern Europe was at barely one per cent of the official danger level. But the authorities were locked by international rules into a rigid bureaucratic system, based on a computer model, which gave them no alternative but to close down air traffic for days longer than was justified. The real flaw in the system was that it made no provision for testing that crude computer model against actual real-life data, which could have shown that the computer was vastly exaggerating the risk.

Motorhome sales in the UK can only increase after this.

Motorhomes for sale in the UK

Motorhomes for sale in the UK

When thinking about motorhomes for sale in the UK, spare a thought for the long and varied history of these now classic vehicles.

Should you wish to read up on motorhomes for sale in the UK Martin Watts, founder of the Classic Camper Club, recounts the history of all the Bedford based campervan and motorhome conversions, starting with the CA in 1952 right up to the Rascal in the mid 1990s in his book Bedford Camper Vans and Motorhomes: The Inside Story.

Watts has been involved with motorcaravans for forty years. He is regarded as one of the leading motorcaravan historians in the UK and today he writes a regular column for the specialist motorcaravan publication Motorcaravan, Motorhome Monthly. His two previous books, Classic Camper Vans: The Inside Story and Classic Dormobile Camper Vans [both published by Crowood] were very warmly received upon their release in 2007 and 2009 respectively, both titles gaining many excellent reviews from both the classic vehicle and motorcaravan press.

Motorhomes for sale in the UK is just the beginning of the story.

Rent a Motorhome

Rent a Motorhome

rent-a-motorhomeIt’s getting to one of my favourite times of the year now, Spring.  The clocks go forward next Sunday, which means lighter evenings, which I love. Even the phrase ‘British Summer Time’ makes me feel happy.  So picture this, you decide to rent a motorhome for a week away…you drive off to somewhere pretty and arrive at about 6pm. You have everything you need with you, so you can just pull out the awning, get your picnic table out and make a lovely evening meal in the luxury kitchen of your motorhome. Eating alfresco is always a lovely thing to do, especially when you have a chilled glass of Pinot Grigio in your hand and there is a beautiful sunset.

If you do decide to rent a motorhome, we can’t of course guarantee the weather, but the idea is nice isn’t it?  You can of course increase the probability of a warm summer evening by driving off into Europe and heading for the South of France, the east coast of Spain or Northern Italy.

What I love though is that wherever you start your holiday, your holiday begins there.  You notice straightaway that you are not limited to having expensive motorway service station lunches or making do with a few Tesco sandwiches, some crisps and a bottle of coke.  Instead you can pick a nice spot for lunch anywhere you like and have a chilled out lunch before you climb aboard and finish your journey for that day.  The key is that when you rent a motorhome, you don’t need to be in a rush, take your time.

If you are interested in motorhome hire, the most simple thing you can do is pick up the phone and dial 0800 612 8719 and speak to the lovely people at Motorholme who will be ready to help you anytime of the day or night.  But what if you are interested in buying a motorhome? Read on…

Motorholme have been coming up with some amazing videos about their motorhome franchise deals. Put simply, this means that you buy a ‘ready to rent’ motorhome, with or without finance (if you are loaded!) and then agree to put the motorhome into the self hire scheme that Motorholme operate. By doing this, you in effect set up your own motorhome hire business.  If you watch the video you will see that Steve Moss talks about the fact that they usually find that 1 weeks rental will pay for 1 months finance. Doing the maths on this means that if you just rent out for 12 weeks a year, you get your motorhome for free!  This may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it cerainly is something to think about when you are looking formotorhomes for sale.

Other motorhomes for sale include the bargain range of ex rental motorhomes.  The best thing to do is to give us a call and we can discuss your options.

Motorhomes For Rent

Motorhomes For Rent

motorhomes for rentIf you are looking for motorhomes to rent in the UK, you won’t get a wider choice than what Motorholme have to offer.  Many customers start their internet search with some idea of roughing it in a an old VDub type 2  ‘hippy van’, but when you start to look into the whole motorhome deal more, you start to see that these marvelous vehicles have toilets, showers, full kitchens, gas central heating, air conditioning and in some cases, satellite navigation.

Motorhome have a network of over 500 motorhomes to rent, spread all over Scotland, England and Wales, so you can be sure that there will always be one in a convenient pick up point for you to start your motorhome holiday. You can either book online or call. Personally I’d favour calling, you get to speak to Sheena and the crew who are there 24/7 to take your call. By using the phone you can discuss your exact requirements, even better if you are in the UK, the call is free.

If this is the first time you have looked at the range of motorhomes to rent, you may like to think about the size. I have a family of 4, but I really like to use a 6 berth for my motorhome holidays. My actual favourite is the Burstner A 747 which is a nice big 7 berth with a garage section to it. The garage bit is great for chucking all the kids stuff in.

If you want to start planning your trip, call 0800 612 8719 right now.

Efoy 1600 Fuel Cell Generator

Efoy 1600 Fuel Cell Generator

Efoy Fuel Cell GeneratorThe Efoy Fuel Cell generator is the “must have” accessory for any motorhome owner today. These things are amazing pieces of kit, but, are rather expensive – the price tag is £2995.

So if you want one, Andrew Hughes of Motorholme has decided to give one away. All you have to do is watch the video and answer 3 simple questions (the answers are in the video). This will enter you into the prize draw and you could be the lucky one.

The Efoy Fuel Generator has an output of 1,600 Watts and is the convenient way to satisfy high-energy demand in your motorhome.

Channel Crossings for Motorhomes

channel crossings for motorhomesUsing the Channel Tunnel or Cross Channel Ferries? Here’s a bit of info you might find useful about Channel Crossings for Motorhomes.

Due to their size motorhomes are often charged quite a substantial premium over cars on ferries and through the Channel Tunnel. All those tempting special offers widely advertised at anything from £20 upwards will say ‘cars only’ somewhere in the small print.

Typical list cross channel ferry prices for high season are £3-400 return for a short crossing and maybe £7-£800 for a return to Spain with a reasonable cabin. Eurotunnel have been very expensive until recently with peak fares in the £5-600+ range. The fierce competition back in early 2004 seems to have brought those fares down to around the £300 mark.

This whole topic is a bit of a thorny one since fares can vary enormously with the booking method and can also be very high compared not only with cars but also against caravans. Even worse the fares have been impossible to fathom in recent years as the ferry companies play strange marketing games with each other sometimes under somewhat concealed identities on the web.

SeaFrance Channel Ferries operate the classic Dover to Calais route which is the shortest crossing there is, which is ideal if you just need to get a ferry to France in the minimum amount of time.

Other than the ferry companies’ own websites some good deals are usually available from the Caravan Club, the Camping and Caravanning Club and the Motorhome Ticket Club. The best deals vary from club to club depending on the routes chosen. Shareholder deals can be attractive too but often pale into insignificance compared with the highly competitive short crossing discounts as above. The longer crossings are not subject to the same fierce competition and are not usually discounted by much, shareholder discounts can be quite significant here.

P&O now pretty much rule as the ‘500 pound gorilla’ in the channel crossings for motorhomesbusiness. However if you are looking at their Portsmouth – Blibao route do read this:

Closure of Portsmouth to Bilbao Route.  Please be aware that P&O Ferries has given notice that it is proposing to withdraw from the Portsmouth-Bilbao route at the end of September 2010 when the charter for the ship it uses for the service, the Pride of Bilbao, comes to an end.

The service will operate as scheduled up to and including the Bilbao-Portsmouth departure on Monday 27th September 2010 and any bookings up to this date will be unaffected. Any customers with bookings beyond this date will be contacted as soon as possible.

Norfolkline concentrate on commercial traffic and seem to charge less for motorhomes – maybe they’re babies compared with the trucks they mostly carry! They operate the Dover to Dunkerque route rather than Dover to Calais. On-board they are pretty much gimmick free, but who cares? Personally this is my favourite company for Channel Crossings for Motorhomes.
